For Izzaks 12th Bday this year he had been begging for us to buy him a nitro gas powered remote control truck. Well we gave in and he got it. I mentioned it before before Kelly left when they first tried getting it going and broke it on the first try! These trucks really put regular remote control cars/trucks to shame at their speed and what they can do! They broke it the first time accidently hitting the turbo and hitting the curb going full speed.
Izzak hadn't really played with it since Kelly left because he wasn't sure how to get it going again but this Friday he figured it out on his own and fixed it!
He had about a half a dozen other boys all chasing after it with him to play with it too!

Of the park has lots of trees and Joshua is never one to stay out of them very long so he watched his brother from up high
Of course this is also a cherry tree so he had other motivation to be up in it. He was pickin cherries. In the tree you can't see what his face looks like. The kids had Field day on Friday and the school did face painting. Joshua like the Pirates of the Caribean and decided to go for one of the looks from that and had eyes painted on his eye lids......creepy if you ask me!
On Sunday the boys had spent the night at my parents house....yes it was nice having them out for the evening.....you'd be amazed at how quiet it is without them arguing with each other constantly. Any way I picked up Joshua and took him to order his new glasses, which we are waiting to have ready and hopefully I can post pics of him actually wearing them just as soon as they come in. I also took Kenzie to get her hair cut.
she has only had her hair cut like 3 times ever so she was pretty excited! They also straightened it which she was really excited about even though it will go curly again when washed. She really wants to have straight hair for some reason.....She cut about 4 inches off so it was a big thing to me also. Another thing Kelly learns about on the blog by the way.....although not as big as the hamsters.....yes he asked me about it a couple of days later but didn't say much. He knows I'm a sucker for cute free furry things!
The funny thing is on the side of the bike it says Chaos.....they must have known it was just his bike! Joshua is all about Chaos!
Oh and the reason Madison sounds breathless in this post? I have strange kids and Izzak and Joshua had been jumping their bikes by our house and Joshua, Kenzie and Madison decided to go on the jump without bikes......silly kids....

Yes, those eyes ARE creepy!! And freaky. And weird, too. ;)
I love all of the videos and seeing and hearing the children enjoying themselves playing. These are precious times.
great videos Terri... My daughter Lindsay, got her eyes painted the same as Joshua's, last summer when we had a clown party at our house with cousins and Nana....I'll email you my facebook so you can look at the pics.
:D
I loved all the videos. My little grandson would love that car. Joshua has a cool looking bike. Kenzie's hair still looks long even with 4" off maybe she will appreciate her curls as she gets older!!
Terri, great to see your kids having so much fun - outdoors!!
And for them to enjoy playing together too. Great to see Izzak looking so happy and his determination in fixing the problem.
Joshua does give one a heart attack - so high up that tree - although his painted eyes show - his true meaning!!
McKenzie - looks so sweet with her hair cut and of course Madison taking part in the fun too.
Great post and terrific videos.
Your kids are always so BUSY!! I wonder if mine will be like that when they are older...?

What is it about remote controls? My boys could never have enough of them.
The painted eyes ARE creepy!
My boys build some pretty scary bike ramps. They like to be airborne.
What a fantastic, uplifting, happy post!! Kenzie has gorgeous hair! And those eyes... totally creepy. I've never heard of painting 'eyes' on eye lids before. Hmph... learn something new everyday, I suppose.
cool videos...
The painted eyes are sooo creepy!!
Me still thinks - you did the tumble over too!!!
When the camera was off - of course!!
Those painted eyes FREAK ME OUT.
The painted eyes are "special" - the new bike is pretty cool! Looks like everyone is staying busy.
That eye art absolutely completely creeped me out :)
My boys would love it.

love Kenzie's haircut!!
Hope the eyelid look doesn't catch on...very creepy!
Terri if you look at March 4th on my blog.. you'll see the pictures of Lindsay with the painted eyelids...
You are never going to regret how thoroughly you are documenting these special years with your kids. Most parents talk about wanting to keep such a record...but you DO it.
Hi,Terri!
The videos are great! Love the last one with Kenzie going over that hill!
And the face painting - pretty cool and creepy at the same time.
:D
Yeah- that is creepy on the eyelids!! Adorable Haircut!! Izzac was quite the popular one with the cars. Was that your house right by the jumps?? How nice to have that so close to your house for the kids!! Very neat!!
