Joshua started complaining over the weekend of pain in his jaw and when I felt under it he had a bump that I could feel.
Don't ever google bump under jaw when it is your child, trust me it can freak you out. Actually I keep trying to tell myself not to google medical symptoms because almost everything will come up with some kind of cancer and even if that is not even close I can be a litte paranoid. I have lost many family members to cancer so I think I have a right to be paranoid.
Anyway I took him to the dr and he has an infection in the salivary gland under his tongue or saladenitis . Okay do my kids just get weird things or have any of you heard of this before? Aparently it is common, I just have never heard of it. Fortunatly it isn't to big of a deal and he wants him to suck on hard candy and drink fluids to try to flush out the infection (Joshua's comment "this is the best prescription I've ever had"). My kids seem to have rash reactions to a lot of antibiotics so he likes to play it safe and get through without antibiotics if possible. If its not noticably better by the end of the week or gets worse then he will put him on them then.
Other then that so far March has been pretty easy. know it is only the 6th but I am going to be positive, okay

I have never heard of it either. At least it isn't serious. I too tend to shy away from googling symptoms. I would worry myself into a knot on most things if I did.
I try not to google anything medical either! Scary!
Nope never heard of that. Your son is right, though. What a great prescription! Hopefully it clears up soon for him. :)
I hope your insurance co does clear up that silliness. Soon.
