Kelly's sister Rena passed away this morning. We all just feel really drained right now, I'm sure many of you know what I mean. It's just been a really long week. We spent most of today making plans and preparing for the funeral and memorial service.

I called the kids and let them know. That was really hard since they were really upset and I just wanted to give them hugs but since I'm not there I had to count on my good friend and our pastor to do that for me. It is one of the hardest things about all of this but we really just could not get the money together to bring them all and Joshua and Kenzie are almost done with school for the year. Besides we would be spending a lot of time finding someone to watch them here while we were taking care of things.

18 people had something to say:

I am so sorry.
I will remember Rena when I walk "Relay for Life" in a couple of weeks.

Thats the best thing I can offer -- and hugs to everyone of you.

I'm so sorry. I saw Rena only a few short months ago, and I'm just shocked at how fast this all happened. Let me know if there's anything I can do.

Terri..
I'm so sad for you...I can imagine how hard that would be to not have your kids next to you..when you just want to hold them when words just don't do it. I'm glad that you have such a good friend (and your pastor) to count on who can stand in for you...I hope you're able to still enjoy your time with friends and family in Portland.
take care

just came back to say that I am thinking of you. I know it is so horrible for your family right now... the whole situation is just miserable.

I love you and wish that you are able to deal with everything that you need to and still have a bit of a good time on your trip.

I am so sorry. This is my first time reading your posts, but I feel for you. My husband has lost his father and his grandmother in the past year, and as much as I loved them both, it's so hard to see him hurting like that. I pray for you and for him.

Whilst I have been away from blogging, your sister in law, has always remained in prayers (along with Kennedy & Devon).

May she rest in peace and the pain no longer as she has her place in heaven alongside past family members.

It is indeed always so very sad and especially so very young - and her photo shows her to have been such a caring & smiling person.

God Bless her.
