Sorry I've been MIA...

I feel bad really. I didn't finish Madisons Birthday posts yet. I left off at 6 but you guys have been around for most of her 6th year. I still need to get her picture montage up but have been having problems with the website not downloading my pictures. This last week has been kind of crazy around here.

Monday started it off....well remember this? I told you all once how this is where our water comes from right? Well the idea is that it is supposed to collect rain.

Well if you don't get any for over 2 weeks and it's below freezing......1. the top oh maybe 4 inches or so freezes solid.....2 you just plain run out of water because you didn't reallize the before the rain stopped the pipes leading to this tank from the roof were first packed with pine needles and FROZEN solid..... We had to buy water to have some in the tank until it rained again. 200 dollars that could have gone toward Christmas litterally down the drain... But there is hope in sight! Tomorrow we are supposed to get some rain or snow, who knows. Either way it's supposed to last as far as the weather predicts weather out at the moment. Did that make sense? Probably not.

The next two days really are a blur, I can't even remember what we were doing. I do know that I didn't write anything that day because our internet was down all over town. Thursday I was sick! Yucky sick, I don't want to bore you with details but I tried to hide under a warm blanket most the day. Kelly is now sick and he is the biggest baby! Honestly I hate it when he is sick. He's really worse then the kids.

Right now I am just holding out that Joshua and the girls don't get sick through the weekend. Why? Well they are doing their singing Christmas tree right now. 2 shows tonight, 1 on Saturday and 2 more on Sunday. Very busy and since there are 3 of them they are actually a good portion of the childrens choir.

I watched both performances tonight. They did really well. Here is the tree with the adults in it.

But here are the kids and I thought they were the best!

They really did a great job on their first 2 performances and Maddie was adorable as usual. The kid can't stand still for long and really likes to move the music. She was cute. Joshua did great bu he was at the back of the row so harder to see Maddie is on the far right and Kenzie is right after the little boy standing next to Maddie. I did take videos of their portions and will share those with you later but for now you'll have to wait till I can get them both uploaded.

Sounds like a rough week. I hope the rest of your family is bypassed with the flu. Too bad about your water. I like the new set up for your blog. I am suppose to be changing my look, but I haven't got to it yet.

:D hope your water situation works out real soon...what a drag having to pay for water right now...when I saw your water tank I never even thought about it freezing up!? of course...Alaska... the land of ice haha..not that I'm laughing at your situation...just that I'd never thought of such a thing happening..poor you! Hope everyone stays healthy for the rest of the Christmas season and beyond!
take care :)

I cannot believe I haven't witnessed a singing Christmas tree in all my many years. What a concept!

Hey, so this is me, tagging you for your Madison to do that Vanity Fair questionnaire! (I generally don't tag people when I do a meme; I kind of leave it up to readers what they want to do). But I'd love to read her answers...

I love the new look of your blog! So cute!!

That is terrible about your water- especially at this time of year.

The picture with the people tree is so neat!!

My hubby is the same way when he is sick. He can have a simple cold but he is sure that he is dying.

The water tank - is a real bummer and I hope it is full again. Must admit the thought of having to buy in water - I agree the money would have been better for Christmas.

At least seeing your kids at the Concert would have been so wonderful and to hear them - a joy for sure...

Great photos...

Hope you are feeling better ...
