Madison at 3

When Madison was 3 the big Dora stage got into full swing! Oh what a stage that was. Actually that phase has not really ever gone away. She still loves Dora and has every Dora doll made pretty much, or had it anyway. She also really loved My Little Pony at that age, both the girls did. At her 3rd birthday party she surprised us all when she opened up a gift with 4 ponies in it and new how many there were just by looking without counting. She really was just too cute.

Christmas at 3. She had a pic with Santa again and reacted about the same way as at 1. I have the picture somewhere but can't find it right now. Both girls made my mother and I sit next to Santa also with them or they wouldn't do the picture.

Her first real snow! We didn't really have any to speak of the couple years prior and this year we had a big snow storm that actually stuck around for awhile. Very unusual in Porltand.
She wasn't quite sure about all this white stuff and ony really spent a little time outside at a time. One of the first times out though she slipped on a spot that was frozen and left a little butt print that stayed there for awhile! hehe
In the pic below her daddy had just thrown a snowball at her. She wasn't so sure about it.

I did manage to convince her to make a snowangel though. It was a cute little 3 year old snowman.

Her daddy stuck her in the recycling bin and used it like a sled! She loved that! She fit perfectly in it. This picture was taken with my camera phone so the resoluting wasn't very good.
She had her first ride sitting on the horse on a carousel. Before she would only sit in the benches with me. As you can see by the look on her face she wasn't so sure about it and I had to stand beside her the whole time. She's not a big fan of rides even now though, it takes a lot of convincing and she doesn't not like them to go very fast or in circles either.

Around this year the girls really started to be best friends with each other. I loved watching them play together and they always wanted to have pictures taken together.
I'm sure their gonna love this picture when they are teens! What do you think?

Playing in the park that summer. They have a below ground wading pool that is open in the summer and you can get tons of kids in it. Madison doesn't like deep pools much and refuses to allow anyone to teach her to swim so this was a fun one for her.
Not sure what it is about this picture since the grass was horribly brown but we were in a drought. I just think she was so sweet looking. It has the little tab on the side because it is out of her scrapbook.

I am finally catching up, and read all you Maddie posts. She is a cutie, and reminds me so much of our youngest, personality wise (and ours is cute too). It is funny how the youngest born children often have similar personalities. Great posts on all your kids.
