A Bloggy favor for my little Madison!

Okay so I have a big favor for all of you. And I'm begging if I have to!

Yesterday Madison came home from school with a paper telling us that the 1st graders are doing a project this year to help them learn about maps. We are supposed to ask anyone we know who lives anywhere else to send in a postcard from where they live.

So I decided that since Madison is one of the 3 new kids in this little tiny school this year I wanted to make sure they knew just how special she is and how many people know about my little firecracker! I think it would be really fun for Madison to have the most postcards, don't you? So I'm asking you all a favor, I'd do it for you I promise! Will you send a postcard to my Madison?

It's really easy and I'll even post the schools address on here in case anyone wants to pass this message along. It needs to have Madison Dunn on it like this

Madison Dunn c/o
Pt Higgin's First Grade
981 N Point Higgins Rd.
Ketchikan, AK 99901
If you do send one I'd love for you to leave me a note to let me know so I can kinda keep track for us here but you don't have to.

Wow, I haven't had a chance to read blogs for a while, and I've really missed out on a lot happening in your life! Now I have to catch up.

I've lurked around for a while now but coming out of the lurksville to let you know I'll make it my mission to make her the post-cardiest 1st grader around! At least she can count one from good ol' Puyallup, WA into her goodness!

I will try very very hard to do this. :)

I will find a postcard and get to it! (such an easy thing - I don't think there will be any begging necessary)

Reposting. I decided instead of using fake names I'll just send one from each member of my family! So it kinda looks like coming rom 4 different people! WOOT!

She's getting 4 from my area because dangit they were 4/$1! Good ol' Tacoma, Mt St Helens, Mt Rainier, and Snoqualmie Falls. (I also posted this on my blog. I've no doubt the word will get out and she will rock the 1st grade something hard)

Definitely - I'll send her a couple:-)

Good luck! :)

I did just want to say that it might not be such a great idea to post a picture of your daughter, her first and last name, the address of her school, and a picture of it. Any nutjob could use that information to a nefarious end. I appreciate what you're trying to accomplish, but it might not be the smartest way to go about it.

Terri I'll get one showing Bristol tomorrow and post it. I so want Madison to get the most post cards. It would be brilliant for her.

For sure I'll do this. I'll link to it from my blog too, though I think for the most part we have the same readers.

Here from Emma...I'll be happy to send you a card...but I agree with Anonymous above. It frightens me that you have your daughter's full name, picture and school up here. Can you change it to (email me if you want to mail her a card)?

Hi --

First time poster, here.

I didn't have a postcard, so I sent a little card in an envelope.
Hope that helps! Good luck, Maddie!

Hi Terri..I'll send one if I'm not too late already....? She looks pretty happy with first grade!! I like your video of Joshua trumpeting! He's a real little cutie!
We're finally getting onto testing with Janelle. They call it psycho/educational testing. I don't like the sound of the name they give the testing but it's a good thing.. I'm really hoping that this will help Janelle out. She can't seem to concentrate more than a minute or two without being distracted. I don't think her teacher from last year helped her out though. She was rather negative in her approach. She humiliated her in the class and tried to motivate her that way... as we all know(or so I thought) that does NOT work. Anyway... her new teacher is right out of University..just did her practicum and has her first classroom. I'm really hoping that she is going to be able to work with Janelle and help her to succeed!
anyway..it sounds like you guys are settling in nicely :)
take care
Heather
