I love getting packages in the mail!

Last week I got my Secret Swap Spectacular Gift in the mail from Tamara. Her last name is Dunn also. How weird is that? I was a little confused when I saw the package and is said T. Dunn as the forwarding address. Anyway I loved my gift and she even sent it in a nice box that I happen to be using as another picture box by the way. I have dozens of pictures and I am so far behind in my scrapping.

So here is the box it came in.

She even sent me a note on a postcard. Even though it says on the card what her blog address was. It threw me off and took me a couple of days to figure out....

Here is a picture of all the gifts in the box. Stickers, notepads and pencils for the kids

Lots of candy for me and the kids. The coffee crisps we yummy. I like coffee and chocolate mixed together! And there are soft fuzzy socks for me also. I love anything soft and fuzzy.
More postcards. I love postcards from other places.
A canadian magnet with a moose on it!

And Tuesday I got another package in the mail from ChrisB. She and Beccy are always talking about Marmite. I had commented once that I had never seen it before here and she wanted to send me some to try. I did try and umm....its different. Not bad different then anything I've tried before. I'll use it again. Thanks Chrisb!

Wow, what a 'present' - and so sweet (pardon the pun) of all those 'sweets' for the kids - bet they enjoy them too!!

And all the other gifts - wow - hope that made your day!!

What a lovely box full of goodies you got for your secret swap.

You may have to try the marmite a few times to get used to that taste...remember little is better.

What a great gift box from Tamara!! Did you win a contest or did you she just send it to you? Either way... awfully nice!!

So is Coffee Crisp only in Canada? I really like them too!! they're nice to eat when you're drinking coffee.
As for the marmite.... I have a British friend that loves it, but her Canadian husband thinks it's VERY awful... so apparently it's something you need to be raised on to like...(o:Or so I've heard.
I just re read your post... I see it's a secret swap thing...Hope your summer's going well... how's Kelly doing?

OKay so what the heck is marmite. I see yeast extract on the jar, but I thought it was like jelly. I can't imagine eating yeast extract on toast?!? INteresting. Tell us more! What a fun package!!

I picked some marmite up at a local store... and I put just a bit on my bagel with cream cheese.

Another blogger used it as a baste on her baked chicken.

My daughter gagged as did my hubby.
They just don't have the eclectic taste buds that I do. (:

It is great to get something in the mail other than bills! The last thing I got in the mail was a posted I bud on ebay for- I did not think I was going to win it and wish I would not of. It cost me 46 dollars for a poster. Go figure my luck, I never win. Now I have a poster that will cost more than the frame!

Uck marmite!

As a kid I really loved coffee crisps, I still do, but I have never liked coffee. Odd that. And did your kids like the smarties? I prefer them to M&Ms but I haven't come across many Americans that do. I'll send some postcards from Edmonton, but I think I'll wait until you've moved. So remember to send me your address.

Glad the marmite arrived and you tried it, so now you know what we are talking about. It sounds as though you might end up in the 'hate it' camp but that's OK. Like Beccy said less is better and give it a few more tastings before finally deciding!

So glad you liked the package! :) I think I heard that you don't have coffee crisp or smarties in the US of A so I thought it would be a neat treat for you and the kids :)

Sorry the package was so late in arriving!
