Fun Monday.......

Fun Monday's challenge for June 25 is to post pictures of your bookshelves or stacks of books. Hopefully, we will be able to read some of the titles. If you want, while you're at it, post pictures of ANY shelves...shelves with toys, dishes, collections, Aunt Gertrude's ashes in an urn, etc. Also, post pictures of your garage, carport, or places where you store 'stuff.' (No fair cleaning first, but if you must, maybe this will be the motivation to do so.)

First off I have to admit.....we don't really have bookshelves. Except in the boys room right now and it has everything but books in it right now..... We do have books but mostly they are Kellys and they are in boxes or he borrows books from my brother, well he used to before he moved up to Alaska ahead of us. The kids have tons of books hence the reason the boys have a book shelf in their bedroom but the books right now all reside in boxes....cause we are moving. That and we only moved here about a year ago and the kids books never really made it out of the boxes then either...
Okay so now that that is over. I do have things to put on bookshelves if I had them. First would be mine and the girls Ashton Drake dolls

For now they sit on the mantle of our fireplace that we can't use (the landlords won't let us). I really want to get a good shelf or something to put them up nicely...maybe something with glass around them because they get dusty this time of year.
Also we have a complete set of dishes given to us when Kelly's Grandmother died a year and a half ago that unfortunatly sit in the cupboard unused. I don't want to use them really because they will get broken and again I don't really have anywear to display them..........

I have many other things I have collected over the years including a rather large collection of precioius moments that I have collected since I was in middle school that have been displayed in past houses but I haven't gotten them out here. I think some of the issue with this house is even though we have been here almost a year and a half we moved in knowing we were going to move in a year or so to Alaska and we didn't ever totally unpack so I have a lot of things still in boxes.
Okay and for the last one was the request to see our garages, atticks, etc.....and we couldn't clean them first. There wasn't much concern on me getting to that in a week, I have way to much other stuff to clean right now! Anyway I am only giving you a glimpse because it is not clean by any means!
I know it looks like a lot of gas cans but htey are empty, I promise. Kelly uses them when he goes camping because he goes way out in the woods and doesn't want to end up without gas. They are all in front right now because he was going to take them with him but forgot.....
Then there is Madisons scooter, a car seat booster that we haven't used in years (why do we still have it?) and blue and red bins that are supposed to contain the kids toys that are all over their bedrooms right now.

My grandma has the same set of dishes that you got from your grandma! It looks like you have a very complete set, wow. I think it's worth a lot.

Oh, I love the doll collection. Thanks for the link. Now I know what I'm going to give all the grand-daughters for birthdays. The set of dishes is wonderful. I wish I had kept my parents dishes. I especially love that single plate you pictured. Thanks for playing the game and being a blogbud.

Love the dishes!!

And I also have to admit that we don't have bookshelves either - except for in Emma's room. Michael will get some soon. As for my books? Well, they are in piles under my bed. Or boxed up in the basement. Oops..

We've been meaning to buy bookshelves and just haven't gotten around to it so my books are all in my closet. I have to tell you, I thought those dolls were real!!!!! OH, and I just love your dishes!! They are beautiful!

Those are some baby dolls - wow! My mom had some dishes exactly like those - exactly! I am not sure what happened to them.

Our garage looks a lot like that. I am not sure why I had the guts to show my fridge, but not the garage. I am odd that way.

Those dolls look so lifelike. I love your china- it's nice to have a whole set. Your garage looks almost as untidy as mine!!

Well I am weird but those dishes are mine. They are the only real thing that I got from my grandma. My mom had the same set it was got later. I kinda had to fight my older sister to keep them she tried to say that they were part of my moms set, but they weren't. The kids hav broken some of the cups that why they stay up out of the way. If you havent guessed this is Terris hubby just Getting his say. The garage well most of the stuff was in boxes tell the kids got into the stuff. Before I left you could almost get a car in there. I LOVE YOU SEXY CANT WAITE TO SEE YOU!!!!!! Kelly

I was going to comment on the dolls because they're cute, but now I have to comment on your husband's comment....

Awwww! How sweet!

I sure hope Terri makes it back since he forgot his gas cans!

I love those babies, but the sleeping ones freak my Mom out. She says they look dead. She has issues!!! :-)

Uhmm. I hope KELLY makes it back. Darn those transgender names. The Terry in my family is male and the Kelly is female!

You baby dolls look so REAL! Are they reborn?

My mother has some blue/white dishes she got at an antique mall that look just like yours!

And your garage reminds me of my cousin's!

Enjoyed seeing your "Fun Monday" today.

Happy Monday

Those are dolls? They look so lifelike.

I am glad that you explained about the gas cans. We do not want Kelly stuck in the woods without enough gas.

someone else said spooky real.... and that goes for my take on the babies, too. Wow!!

use the plates. What an heirloom!!!

Oh my gosh, those dolls are outstanding! I am going right from here to find out more about them.

The plates are beautiful. I agree with Pamela - I understand your reluctance to use them but I think you should enjoy them.

The dolls, the plates...wow.

The gas cans crack me up for some reason. My dh got some a couple months ago to put on the back of his jeep...they've yet to be christened with gas!
